A summary of events:
Last night was the opening night of Crazy4Cult NYC. It was an amazing show, absolutely slam packed, people running around everywhere, AMAZING art, and incredible personalities. I can’t say this enough, but if you live in or around New York, please make the trip to see this show, purchase some art if you’re able to, and keep it going. Let your friends know about it. It’s fantastic.
Anyway, after I’d made my way around the very small gallery space, I purchased some prints (Save Cameron, 1988, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), and then stood in line to meet Jensen. Yes, there was a line. I took a weird (read: creepy) picture of him speaking to someone else. And finally, I was able to ask him to sign one of my prints. I also asked him to sign The Great Escape, which he so generously did. I decided at that point it was all or nothing and slipped him the FYHK sticker (which he also offered to sign, but instead I let him keep that). As I was waiting in line, I spotted Eric Rosenthal of It’sTheReal fame (If you don’t know them, look them up. Seriously, what have you been wasting your life on?) and decided to give him a sticker too.
On my way out of the gallery, I popped over to Jeff and passed him a sticker, which became a conversation around how, why, and what the hell? This blog started as a joke. A hilarious adventure through the depths of the internet to find obscure pictures of Jensen/Hot Karl and was an absolute blast. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for Jensen) I ran out of pictures only a few months in.
So now, it’s time to say goodbye. Thank you to all of the followers, for Jensen for being such a great sport, and for Jeff and Eric for encouraging it (without ever even knowing). I do have a TON of stickers left, and will gladly send them free-of-charge to anyone who wants some. In fact I have a couple of envelopes waiting to go out now.
I’m leaving you with pictures from last night.
